Technology and Design Director
Chris works with city leaders across the Greater Phoenix region to design and implement smart city technologies that deliver measurable, equitable impact. His work focuses on translating emerging technologies into practical public-sector use cases that improve municipal operations, enhance resident quality of life, and support regional collaboration.
In this role, Chris advises municipalities on technology strategy and deployment at city and regional scale, helps identify business and public-service opportunities, and supports the development of programs and projects aligned with community needs. He also leads the design and coordination of The Connective’s quarterly advanced technology workshops for municipal leaders, bringing a human-centered, systems-driven approach to technology adoption.
Alongside his work at The Connective, Chris is the founder of Luminos Innovation, an independent consulting firm focused on digital transformation and Industry 4.0 technologies. He brings deep expertise in advanced computing, artificial intelligence, robotics, and systems engineering, and is a co-author of Energy Aware Computing – Powerful Approaches for Green System Design and a co-inventor on 16 patents spanning sustainable system and industrial technology design.
